On June 1, 2023, the 2nd China (Dalian) International Forest Products Summit Forum, jointly instructed by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and the People's Government of Dalian Municipality and hosted by China National Forest Products Industry Association, was held in Dalian. A delegation from the Secretariat of the Global Green Supply Chains Initiative (GGSC) attended the forum.

On June 2, the GGSC Secretariat visited China (Dalian) International Forest Products Import and Export Expo. The expo featured exhibition zones of Japan and South Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe, Russia, the United States, Canada, and Australia, as well as industrial clusters, attracting forest products enterprises from around the world to showcase the latest technological achievements, product innovations, and industry trends.

During the expo, the GGSC Secretariat engaged in in-depth exchanges with participating enterprises, promoting the Global Timber Index (GTI) platform and the upcoming international forum. The secretariat also conducted research on the products status and market trends of timber enterprises.
