China Green Carbon Foundation (CGCF),approved by the State Council and registered by the Ministry of Civil Affair, was established on July 19, 2010 in Beijing. It was originated from the previous Chian Green Carbon Fund.Under the auspices of the Nation Forestry and Grassland Administration,the foundation is China’s first national public non-profits fund that targets on addressing climate change by increasing carbon sink and reducing carbon emission.CGCF is also an observer to the COPs of UNFCCC and a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).CGCF was ranked as a 4A Foundation in 2013,honored with the “Nature Advanced Social Organization” by the Ministry of Civil Affairs in 2015,qualified for Charity Organization to public fundraising.
