On 28 November 2025, the Secretariat of the Global Green Supply Chains Initiative (GGSC) held discussions with representatives from Ecuador’s Ministry of Environment, Water, and Ecology (MAATE) and the Sustainable Forest Management Corporation (COMAFORS) regarding the current operational status of the Global Timber Index (GTI) platform.

During the meeting, representatives from MAATE and COMAFORS briefed the GGSC on the operational progress of the GTI project in Ecuador as well as plans for follow-up outreach and promotion among pilot enterprises. They also expressed their interest in organizing in-depth workshops and exchange activities for enterprises in the coming year. The GGSC Secretariat expressed appreciation for the feedback provided by MAATE and COMAFORS and stated that it would maintain communications among the three parties to explore opportunities for deeper cooperation.
